Your information matters
Privacy notice
This plain-language notice explains the types of information the Gagansetu starter collects and how the platform is designed to use it. The site operator should review and adapt it before launch.
Last reviewed: 28 October 2026 · Draft notice for operator review
Information you provide
When you create an account, the platform stores your name, email address, optional phone number and password hash. When you register for an event or apply to volunteer, it stores the selected event, application message and status. Messages submitted through the contact form include your name, email and message.
Technical information
Contact messages may store the IP address available to the application. The hosting provider may independently keep server logs. Do not submit passwords, financial information or other sensitive personal data in event or contact forms.
How information is used
Information supports account access, event registration, volunteer application review, responding to questions, preventing duplicate registrations and maintaining an administrative audit trail. Access to the admin panel is limited by account role.
Retention, access and security
Platform records are stored in the site's configured database and backups. Administrators should periodically review records and delete data that is no longer needed, subject to applicable obligations. The project uses password hashing, CSRF protection, input validation, rate limits on selected forms and security headers, but no online service can promise absolute security.
Third-party images
Sample artwork references Unsplash-hosted image URLs. Those image requests go to the image host. Replace sample URLs with approved local assets or other image sources after reviewing their terms and privacy implications.
Your questions
For a data-access or deletion request, contact the platform operator through the contact form. The operator must set a monitored contact address and review this draft against local law before public launch.
